Announcing the Geo4Lib Community Sprint Summer 2026

From August 17-21, 2026 we will be holding a week-long community sprint. This is a chance to come together to work on shared projects, contribute to community documentation, or fix software bugs. It can also be a week to set aside time to work on a new or side project, while having a group on hand to discuss and answer questions.

The sprint will start with a kickoff meeting where we will review our goals and volunteer to contribute towards various issues. This will be followed by short standup meetings every day to check-in and plan our next activities. Participants do not need to attend every meeting, and can just show up when they are available or just follow our activities on Slack.

Event Dates

  • Monday–Friday, August 17–21, 2026
  • Daily 30 minute standup meetings: 1:00 p.m. Central Time

How to Join

Add the event from the Geo4Lib Community Calendar. Zoom links will be shared on Slack and added to the calendar event closer to the kickoff.
